TLC Dog Grooming and Academy is excited to offer the first dog grooming school in the area!  With over 20 years experience and hands on training, we help equip students with the necessary skills and training to become successful groomers!

 Students will gain an understanding of how groomers handle different dog breeds and temperaments, dog anatomy, and dog psychology. Students will become certified in pet CPR and first aid and using Nexderma products. This course meets the training requirements for students to earn the Professional Groomer Credential through the World Pet Association.

 

Dog Grooming Class Schedule Outline 

 

Tender Loving Care Dog Grooming Academy Class Duration: 4 Months

 Total Hours: 300 hours  

200 hours of Hands-On Learning 

100 hours of Internship (at a facility of your choice)

Class Schedule: Days: - Wednesday - Thursday - Friday Time: 11 AM - 5 PM  

 

 Curriculum Overview:

 

 1. Hands-On Learning (200 hours): 

 

Introduction to Dog Grooming Techniques -

 Bathing and Drying - Clipping and Trimming - Nail Care and Ear Cleaning - Dealing with Different Breeds - Health and Safety Protocols - Customer Service Skills 

 

 2. Internship (100 hours): 

 

 Practical Experience at a Grooming Facility of Your Choice - 

Application of Skills Learned in Class - Real-World Grooming Experiences -

Certifications Provided: At the end of the course, students will receive: -
